- Knowing that you’re helping others learn and work to achieve their goals.
- Improving your personal development and skills. You may be mentoring a person from a different generation or a different culture. This can help you learn to communicate in a different manner.
- Learning new information and approaches. As a mentor, you’ll learn from the person you’re mentoring, sometimes just because that person’s outlook is fresh.
- Helping create long-term employees.
- Receiving a payment of $1,000 (gross) (in two $500 payments) for providing 15 hours of one-on-one coaching and support for your mentee.
If you are currently a mentor and would like to continue mentoring next year, you must reapply.
The Mentor Application and Program Guide are available on the Intranet > Human Resources > Mentoring Program and by clicking here.
