End of Year Reminder for SSLog

Please remember to finish up logging data in SSLog before you complete work for this year. We will probably be pulling data over the summer for various studies and reports, and we’d want to have the most complete picture possible of our service to schools. One report we will be generating will be the summary of learning team time. Please make sure you have finished logging those times. Mentors, don’t forget to finish logging your mentoring time, either! The SSLog reminder system will be turned off for the Summer in mid- to late June and will resume in mid-August.

Positive Behavior Supports is Now Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

Positive Behavior Supports now has a new name—Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports and a new acronym “PBIS”—thanks to a “cease and desist order” from the Public Broadcasting Service. PBS is a trademark of the Public Broadcasting Service, and their organization has determined that the use of “PBS” to describe anything else is too confusing to the public. Therefore, if you work with or refer to Positive Behavior Supports, the new “proper” name to use is Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports or PBIS.

The Ames office’s summer hours have been revised to the following:

June 14 to June 30
7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

July 1 to August 11
7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
