Check out the Employee Online tab of your Employee Dashboard to see some important changes and enhancements. A new Benefits category has been added to provide you with a convenient way to view information on all of your current benefits.
• Forgot which health insurance plan you elected? Want to know which dependents are covered? Find out by clicking on Your Current Benefit Statement.
• Looking for a summary of your benefit coverage or a specific benefit form? Click on Benefit Forms and Info.
And yes, we have also added a Benefit Enrollment
section! In April 2015 you will begin using Employee Online to elect
your annual benefits. Employee Online will be your single go-to source
for all your benefit information. New agency staff members will start
using this application beginning in August.

As the new school year edges closer, the Dept. of Education is asking all stakeholders – educators, administrators, parents and others to take its 2014 Special Education Survey. This is a follow-up to a survey the Dept. conducted in 2012. They will share the results in upcoming issues of their Each and Every Child newsletter.
Approximately 50 new staff members will begin work at the Agency and have orientation at the Johnston Regional Education Center (REC) on Monday, Aug. 4.
We are rolling out the welcome mat for new staff, so we will have parking spaces reserved for them in the center row of the REC parking lot on Aug. 4 only. New staff will also be attending other trainings through Aug. 8.
Current staff members are asked to please park in the Administration Center parking lot if needed during this busy week. Thank you for helping to create a positive experience for our new staff members’ first days at Heartland AEA!
During the Agency’s transition to Google Mail and our new “heartlandaea.org” email domain, it was recommended that staff add the statement “Please note that my email has changed to jdoe@heartlandaea.org” to their email signatures. It’s been over a year since the Agency transitioned to Google Mail, so now is probably an appropriate time to begin to remove those statements from your email signatures. Thanks for doing a little housekeeping!
