Regularly Check Email and The Connection for Important Messages
As we near our All Staff meeting and the beginning of the school year, there may be some time-sensitive information for all staff to know. Please be sure that you are regularly checking your email and reading The Connection so as not to miss anything important!
In tune with checking your email regularly, for those of you returning from summer vacation or coming back on contract, be sure to turn off your out-of-office message in your e-mail and change your voicemail greeting on your office phone when you return to the office.

Administrator Connection to Begin August 12
The Agency’s Administrator Connection will start up for the 2011-2012 year on August 12. This newsletter is in a blog format just like the staff Connection and is published every Friday from mid-August to mid-June. It informs our school administrators (including superintendents, principals and curriculum coordinators) of news and information important to them and is the primary communications tool the Agency uses to communicate directly with school administrators. Send any information you’d like to communicate to school administrators to Claire (Spellman) Sowder, Communications Specialist, at csowder@aea11.k12.ia.us.
Connection Article Submission Procedure For Coming Months
Until October 17, please send Connection article submissions to the Communications Department e-mail at comms@aea11.k12.ia.us. If you have any questions about The Connection or other communication-related items in the next two and a half months, please contact Claire (Spellman) Sowder at csowder@aea11.k12.ia.us or ext. 14014 instead of Courtney Croatt.
