Wireless Network Password Set Up Instructions
Beginning
March 2, 2009, we will be using “education09” as the access password for the HAEAnet wireless network. Please use the following steps to set up your wireless network connection:

If you are using a Macintosh computer:

1. Go to the Airport icon (looks like a baseball field) on the menu bar in the upper-right hand side of the computer screen. Make sure your computer has Airport turned ON. You should see “Airport: On” is grayed out under the Airport icon.

2. Select “HAEAnet” under the Airport icon.

3. Select WPA Personal from the Wireless Security popup menu if you see that option.

4. Type “education09” in the Password Name box and click the OK button. The password “education09” is case sensitive; please type it exactly as shown (excluding the quotation marks).
You are now connected to the Heartland wireless network if you see solid bars on the Airport icon.

If you are using a Windows computer:
1. Double-click to open your Wireless Network Connection icon.
2. Click to highlight the “HAEAnet” wireless name from the Choose a Wireless Network window and click Connect.

3. Type “education09” in the Network key and the Confirm network key boxes and click the Connect button. The password “education09” is case sensitive; please type it exactly as shown (excluding the quotation marks).

4. Close the Choose a Wireless Network and Network Connections windows.
You are now connected to the Heartland wireless network if you see a message that indicates the wireless network connection is now connected to the “HAEAnet” wireless network on the lower-right hand corner of the computer.

Visitors are welcome to use our wireless networks. Please share this information with school staff and other visitors when they are in our offices.

Feel free to contact Tuan Dao at ext. 14413, Mike Permann at ext. 14767 or Barb Dietrich at ext. 14618 if you have any questions related to the wireless network changes or technical support.

Notes from the Johnston Office Equipment Pool Staff

Batteries are now available from Jane Quanbeck in the Video Duplication Department. To get batteries, please fill out a Production Request Form and give it to Jane Quanbeck, Judy Cleveland or Thanh Le or simply leave the form in the “In” box on the front counter in the Video Duplication Department. Please include your account number.

Unfortunately, people have not been conscientious about returning the PowerPoint Presentation remote controls that were put in each LCD projector bag. As a consequence, the remote controls (clickers) are being removed from the projector bags and must be checked out separately on the Resource Scheduler under the category Remote Control-PPT. The tags are Rem-01 through 09. Please check your computer bags, offices and cars and return any controls that you find so they will be available for others to use.
