Raynor Selected as New Senior Director of Information Technology

Heartland AEA is pleased to announce the hiring of Darrel Raynor as our new Senior Director of Information Technology. Darrel began his new position at the Agency today and will collaborate in the coming months with Rod Howell, Information Systems Manager, who is set to retire from the Agency in April 2021. 

Darrel has been working with the Agency for over a year in a consultant/coach/project manager capacity, and he’s played a key role in bringing the Agile framework to our Information Systems team. We intend to leverage his skills and experiences to enhance our team’s ability to keep improving agency technology systems and processes in the most secure, efficient, effective and innovative ways.  

Darrel spent 34 years as the President/CEO of Data Analysis & Results in Austin, Texas, where he consulted with hundreds of businesses on operational improvement and culture transformation and provided interim leadership during times of business transition. 

A native Iowan, Darrel holds a master’s of business administration degree from Golden State University and bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Iowa State University. 

From the first trip he made to Iowa to work with Heartland AEA, he’s commented frequently on the quality of our staff and how amazing our culture is. He is excited to make the transition from consultant to staff member, and we are fortunate to have someone with Darrel's skill set and experience come to our agency.
