Reminder: Changes to Agency File Server
This is an important reminder regarding the Technology Update of April 5, 2009: Important Changes to the Agency File Server. While many staff members have transferred their files to the Agency’s new file server, many have not. If you have not transferred your files, read the Technology Update at the link above.
Also, as another reminder, Workgroup files need to be moved as well. In an effort to make sure that all pertinent files are transferred, we are asking that each office go through files that are in the Workgroup folder on the Heartland Server and determine what needs to be moved. Some offices have already moved files while other offices have not. Please contact Jim Lagnese, or have someone in your workgroup coordinate with him, so together it can be determined where those folders/files should go on the new server and who should have permission to access the folders. A tentative schedule has been set for the move but if these dates don't work for your office, please suggest alternate dates.
Adel Office - June 8-9
Indianola Office - June 9-10
Johnston Office - June 10-11
Knoxville Office - June 11-12
Newton Office - June 11-12
Woodside Office - June 12
After the files are moved, someone from your workgroup should send out a communication to staff in your office to let them know that they need to use the Workgroups on the new aeaserver to access and save files and also to inform them of any changes in relative location. If you have any questions, please contact Jim Lagnese.
