Education Rally at State Capitol April 13

The AEAs, IASB, IPTA, ISEA, SAI and UEN will host an Iowa Kids First rally on the west Capitol steps in Des Moines on Wednesday, April 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The last education rally was held in 2004. That event was successful, and we went from 0 to 2 percent allowable growth. The Legislature and Gov. Branstad have not yet reached an agreement on allowable growth for education this year, and the belief is that an education rally, with many educators participating, will make an impact on their decision. If your schedule permits, consider joining the rally at the Capitol.
